Reasonably speedy delivery of 24 bags, mainly grey. Easy to carry the bags around. Easy to spread it out. Very good product. Covered one terrace in our garden with it. Recommended.

Slight delay with stock on the coloured chippings I ordered, but once sorted delivered quickly and without any bother. Really happy with the quality and colour for the 20mm chippings. A few small wires found while laying it, but the kids have been playing on it barefoot for a few weeks now (not recommended by the supplier, but kids will do what kids will do) and nobody's got a wire in their foot yet 🙂 I used 100mm deep to give a nice soft landing under the monkey bars then 50mm deep elsewhere, giving a nice tidy finish to the kids play area. As a bonus, the cats have shown no interest in using it as a toilet.

How safe are our rubber play bark chippings?

PRS Rubber Chippings meets the BS EN1176 and BS EN1177 safety standards. With the following CFH.

The surface has a Critical Fall Height (CFH) of 0.55 metres at a thickness of 50 mm.
The surface has a Critical Fall Height (CFH) of 2.00 metres at a thickness of 100 mm.
The surface has a Critical Fall Height (CFH) of over 3.00 metres at a thickness of 150 mm.

Report is available on request or download from our website.

We believe that there is no formal requirement or standard for an impact absorbing surface to be used in a residential situation, therefore you should carry out your own risk assessment to your individual circumstances.

NB Commercial or public areas are covered by more detailed requirements BS EN1176 relating to the loose-fill impact absorbing products, requiring greater depths of all loose-fill products in a public environment. In accordance with BS EN 1177 (2008) an additional 100mm of material should be included to allow for displacement in use.
